Leading plastic card manufacturer, Plastic Card Services (PCS), has invested in a Datacard MX2000 card issuance machine to increase capacity for its embossing facilities, in line with its ambitious growth plans.
The Macclesfield based plastic card manufacturer has added the MX2000 to its portfolio of embossers, including the Datacard 9000 and Datacard 7000. This new addition will increase the firm’s embossing capabilities by 1,200 cards per hour, and complement the dual line embossing facilities already in place. The new machine will provide embossing, as well as versatile smart card personalisation, magnetic stripe encodding and inline topcoat application.
Rob Nicholls, MD of PCS, said: “We have spent over £2 million in the past 3 years on new technology, as part of our commitment to investing in our card manufacturing process. The £80,000 purchase of the new Datacard system will enable us to continue to provide a fast and efficient service to our customers and increase our growth capacity.”
