Plastic Card Services, (PCS), is the first company in Europe to offer Atlantic Zeiser’s white DoD (Drop on Demand) personalisation on plastic cards.
The innovative DoD process uses the latest Atlantic Zeiser printer UV inkjet system, to give high quality white ink printing on dark backgrounds.
It’s a breakthrough for PCS who will now be able to provide customers with an effective high-speed white ink solution to personalisation needs across a range of cards.
The Macclesfield-based plastic card producer has invested £2 million over the past 24 months in its card manufacturing processes. This includes the upgrade of the Atlantic Zeiser printer, which has the capacity to personalise and encode cards at speeds of up to 30,000 per hour.
PCS Managing Director, Rob Nicholls, said: “Quality, versatility and productivity are essential for meeting the growing demands of personalised cards. This latest development allows us to diversify into new areas and gives customers more choice.”
The Atlantic Zeiser encodes in white at speeds of up to 15,000cph at 720dpi and offers black ink personalisation at both 720dpi and 360dpi, along with peel off card activation and PIN scratch off labels.
The Atlantic Zeiser Omega 70P white printer has a print capability of 70mm width at 24m/m. Superb high quality prints are produced as a result of the use of the brightest, whitest, densest opaque Ultra White Ink developed by Atlantic Zeiser and a native resolution of 360dpi with greyscale capability.
