Macclesfield-based Plastic Card Services (PCS) is expanding its premises at Tytherington Business Park.
The new building, located next door to its current Redwood Court manufacturing site, will provide the innovative card manufacturer with more spacious facilities, enabling it to continue its impressive growth.
PCS is one of the UK’s leading producers of commercial cards including loyalty cards, gift cards, smart cards, membership cards, hotel key cards, key fobs and ID cards.
Its services include card design and personalisation, embossing, thermal printing, magnetic stripe encoding, chip encoding, data management and mail fulfilment.
With 5000 sq ft of additional floor space, the new location will increase the Company’s existing purpose built manufacturing plant by a 50% and take it to over 20,000 sq ft.
Rob Nicholls, PCS Managing Director, said: “Our current plant has the facility to produce over 50 million cards per year. This additional space will allow us to increase that to capacity of 80 million.
“The new premises will be equipped to the highest building and quality standards, and will allow us to extend many of our offerings, including our sustainable print services, in which we have already invested over £2 million since 2009.”
Paul Codling, Senior Leasing Surveyor for Orbit Developments commented “As an established company that has been with us at Tytherington Business Park for 10 years, we were delighted to be able to accommodate the expansion of PCS and assist the continued growth of this highly successful business”.
