Commercial card manufacturer, Plastic Card Services (PCS) is partnering with the Gourmet Society to roll out a new promotion aimed at businesses across the UK.
The promotion will encourage companies to offer employees a free three-month trial of the UK’s leading dining scheme, the Gourmet Society Dining Card.
PCS will produce over 100,000 dining cards each month at its purpose-built plant in Macclesfield, Cheshire to support the promotion.
The Gourmet Society Dining Card is the UK’s leading dining promotion, with over 250,000 members eating out at over 4,500 restaurants. Members benefit from discounts ranging from 50% off their food bill to 25% off the total bill and 2 for 1 on meals.
Restaurants participating in the scheme range from Michelin-starred establishments to high street names like Cafe Rouge, Loch Fyne, The Living Room, Prezzo, Malmaison, Hotel du Vin and Harry Ramsden’s. Employees who take part in the scheme can also take advantage of special annual discounted subscription rate at the end of the promotion.
Simon Leonard, MD at the Stockport-based Gourmet Society, said: “To roll this programme out successfully, we needed a trusted partner that could handle a high volume of cards each month. We had a limited budget and thought that it would be expensive to shop locally, but the quality and value of PCS’s offering far outweighed any others.
“We expect that the scheme will be a great success, particularly at a time when employers are more restricted on the number of benefits that they can give to staff. It’s a great way to increase awareness of our dining card and I’m sure that those who take it up will realise its value.”
Rob Nicholls, MD at PCS, said: “The contract with the Gourmet Society is testament to our expertise in the production of reward cards, which is an area that continues to increase in popularity for PCS. It is great to be partnering with the Society on such as rewarding scheme and we hope to be working on other projects in the future.”
