Having a key fob card is a useful way of accessing your information without damaging it by storing it in your wallet. The reduced size means that you can easily attach it to a set of keys or a chain without worrying about losing it or damaging it, while the smaller dimensions help makes it a more suitable size; meaning that it can fit in your pocket without irritation or risk of damage.

The ease of access which your key fob allows you reduces the amount of time you spend trying to gain access to a room, for instance. Although it may not seem like much of a difference, those seconds that it cuts from your time can be a valuable commodity and can also come in handy for security purposes.

Another security benefit that it introduces is that it means you will no longer have to expose your wallet while locating your security card, because the time it take for you to enter your pocket, locate the card, swipe it and put it away again can be ample enough for a suspected mugger. For example if you are heading towards your car.

Another great benefit of having a key fob card is that it reduces the risk of damage. Most people will store their cards in their wallets due to their size and they will usually put them in their back pockets, but this can create a lot of wear and tear that could damage the card and render it useless. If you are constantly standing up and sitting down, you are putting a lot of stress on your card which can make it become warped. A key card fob takes away the need for you to rummage around your pockets, while its small size makes it more acceptable for a pocket.

What is a key fob card?

A key fob card is essentially a scaled down version of a traditional plastic card that can be attached to your key ring and provides you with an easily accessible option to get your information. They are used for a number of things, from gaining access to rooms to storing information like you would expect with a loyalty card. They work exactly the same way as a normal card and they can store the same amount of information too, so the functionality isn’t affected in any way. They are normally equipped with a barcode or magnetic stripe, encoded with an unique identifier, which can be used to monitor how often you go the gym or what products you use, all in one handy device.
