Although they are often seen as just a part of nature – if you do happen to run a business or be involved in a company then chances are that business cards are a crucial part of your ability to draw in new clients and quickly build new relationships. An often crucial player in the end of any potential new business partnership – a business card is quick reminder of who you are and why your new clients should work with you.

In general, business cards are a fairly standard shape and they tend to come in a very similar style with your name, address, contact number and various other crucial elements of your business and although this may seem like a very small way of passing your business information onto your client, this handy pocket-sized approach can help to win clients over very quickly.

What impact can a business card have on my clients?

Although first impressions do count, your business card can often been seen as a way of reminding your client exactly who you are. In general, many business cards tend to appear at the end of an initial conversation – and this conversation will usually have discussed who you are and exactly what you can do for a potential client. Once this conversation has finished you will generally hand over a business card and this will be a reminder to your new client of who you are, and how to get in contact with you.

If you fail to produce a business card then your client could easily forget who you are, or they could struggle to contact you – in turn they may opt to go with someone else who they can easily contact after finding it too hard to get in touch with you.

Why is the design of my business card crucial?

Your business card is a way of representing your business and therefore it’s important that you use a unique and innovative design which really helps to make your business stand out from the crowd. You also need to make sure that your business cards are reflective of your business either through the way that they are written or the colours which are used.
